Be Scary Halloween!

What a fun card making day today! 10-11 stamping friends, and this card is one I designed last week, and they all made today! My camera was working last week, as i tookpics of this card and my Halloween banner at the same time. I forgot until I looked in my Windows gallery. (time for a new camera since the digi screen comes and goes at will!! spooky..)

BUT.... here is something bizarre! A gal whos blog I visit, posted THIS card today (Sunday), and its almost exactly the same!!! GASPED when I saw it! (its the 2nd card)

Its kind FREEKY when 2 stampers channel each other in cardmaking!!

Becky posted hers today, I made mine last week and didnt post it, so its just crazy that we came up with nearly the same design!!!
When I hover over the image it shows the date I took the pic-9/23-08! lol

For MaryBeth!!! LOL The BLUE room...

Oooh LOOK! hee hee To the left is my halloween banner! LOL

OK so my darling husband (at most times! lol) painted the kitchen with a custom color I had made from a piece of paper- SU! Soft Sky ink rubbed into white cardstock!! LOL Seriously I DID!!! I have been a Tuscan (not Tuscon! lol) red and mellow yellow girl for YEARS!

ALL of a sudden BLUE is showing up all over my house! WELL!! Wouldnt you know it that the new blue I have, coordinates fantabulously with that red and mellow yellow! See the painted rooster next to the pumpkin floral thing(more about THAT later!). THAT was my inspiration! Blue, yellow, and red! Kinda Swedish, kinda not!
Click on a pic to see floral and color DETAILS!

One wall I will be using a pearl paint to make a large Harlequin pattern on the wall, just to make it 'special'! Break up the expanse of blue, make it different!

Oh, about that Pumpkin floral thing... I MADE that!! I dont 'do' floral design, I suck at it!

But I have to say, this came out pretty darn COOL! Saw one in Michaels for about $70. All the picks were .99 cents, I bought 6, and 2 large picks for 3.99.

Pumpkin was 8.99. I carved off the top of it ,(using it to make a halloween hat for a cement bust I have..more on that later too! Not 'MY' bust...lol)

So I tell ya, all those oranges and reds and yellows in the Pumpkin floral thing POPS off my new blue walls!!! Its FALL and Halloween in my house now! And about 90 degrees outside too!
Oh, and this card ( 2nd card) of Jan Tinklenbergs reminded me of my kitchen with the fall colors!!! Love ya Jan! http://stampspaperscissors.typepad.com/stamps_paper_scissors/2008/09/whos-lovin-me-n.html

Halloween Banner

Oooooh I LOVE banners! This was fun to make, and I really like it!!

I used SU!s new BigShot Die cutting machine, and the Pennant die, Bird w/Leaves and Flower die, and all the little flowers and branches and doo-dads and extra pieces that were cut also!

Used Textured cardstock in White, Black, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray, Kiwi Kiss, and Designer Series paper in Ghostly Greetings!

Also Black Chunky Essentials glitter, Red Rhinestone Brads (they look orangey!)

I just started layering and punching and glittering.

Oh I used some Halloween Rub-ons too!

The black bird I LOVE!! I glittered it with the Black Chunky glitter-That stuff is fabu-tastic!!

Basic Gray Taffeta and Black Gingham ribbons too.

Oh! The pumpkin is from a BigShot Die also! Neato!
And I used Tangerine Tango striped ribbon to make the Rosettes on the 2 smaller pennants!! With a black button and Black Chunky glitter in the centers!!

Click on any pic for a nice clear GINORMOUS look! HA!

Bangles and brew!!

THIS is what I did last night... Had so much fun making bracelets with my friends! These are coil bracelets , they go around your wrist about 2 1/2 times. We strung them from glass Lampworked beads my friend Patricia MAKES herself!! Besides them being beautiful...they are just beautiful! lol
The pic shows 6 of them stacked on the neck of a glass bottle. Mine is the brighty one towards the bottom, with the squarish yellow "eyeball" bead!
We have been encouraging Patricia to make kits to put on her ETSY site....

Have a great Sunday!!!

UDI IC7

Go HERE for the Inspiration pic!

Here is my take on it- All SU! supplies
Choc. Chip card base, Shimmer White paper stamped with Eastern Blooms, using Bashful Blue, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, Close to Cocoa.
I just kept layering the flowers and colors, adding small accents to break it up some.
Green Plaid is from the new Banbury Des. paper.
Chocolate fancy strip and Oval from the new True Elegance Accents and Elements.
OMGosh girls, these are beautiful accents! Heavy watercolor type paper, die cut, NO sticky adhesive on the back (I love that) and they are printed beautifully!
Get some! They are a must-have!!!
I gathered up a piece of Chocolate Taffeta ribbon underneath the oval piece.
Click the bottom pic for detail view of that Shimmer paper! I LOVE that stuff!!!
