Happy December...

Do you like my new blog banner? Do ya?
I made it myself..little miss not-computer-smart!! haha!

I used Stampin' UPs new My Digital Studio!
Thousands of images, papers, doodads (OH! I forgot to put some doo-dads in there..hmmm) that you can manipulate all over your page!

I used the 5x7 horizontal greeting card format to design the header..I just found out-by trial and error-that that format makes the header much smaller-instead of HALF the page! hee hee (since I dont have photo Shop, or the skillz to resize my stuff..)

The colors are EERILY similar to my daughters halloween costume in a previous post...LOL!

Well this holiday will be bittersweet-my brother will be absent.
There is still a very deep dark hole in my heart... I dont s'pose it will be filled anytime soon...

Halloween 2...

Here is Halo in the fairy costume that Gramma made! Gramma has made almost every Halloween costume for her, PLUS costumes just to play in!

Since halo was 2!! Love it! This was made by request from my daughter..I didnt think she was still into fairy-frou-frou...but whats not to love!!

We bought the wings and Halo and i glittered them up! She ended up not wearing them trick-or-treating..they kept flopping backwards and they felt heavy she said.

Halloween....

We had a soccer game on Halloween. We lost, but still are in 2nd place for our division! Playoffs start in 2 weeks..I LOVE watching soccer!!

We had snack duty, so I put the "healthy" treats for after the game in brown sacks, and embellished with stamps, paper, and vintage crepe paper streamers! I love that old stuff!!

This pic is from June 2006.This is my oldest brother, Allen, and his wife Jen(on the right).

This is one of the few and one of my favorites pics I have of him and I. The other fave pic is when I was 6 and he was 8. (that is one of my other brothers fingers 'in' his ears..lol)

Well, my brother passed away Sept 15th, suddenly.

I am heartbroken, for me, and my whole family. His wife is devastated, as we all are. She is such a great girl, I love her, and I hate that he is gone.

This weekend is his burial, and its going to be heartwrenching. It just isnt right, shouldnt be happening.

Love you much, Allen.

I was in several card swaps, seems I came home with WAY more than what went with...I had to FedEx 2 boxes home... yet my luggage still only weighed 41 lbs, and it was 40 lbs when I left for SLC...LOL





Since I am slow and on dial-up (not for much longer friends! lol) and its after midnite, I am only loading one card here..details will come later! I just need to update. Its probably getting close to some card candy time....

That 70s Show.....

So the Girl Scout Father/Daughter Disco dance was on Saturday nite (fever)lol, and here is my sweet duo in their thrifted costumes-sunglasses and all!! I blow dried and foofed up the husbands hair--niiiiice!! lol eww!

I neglected to make him wear some gold chains...a'la 70s used car salesman.

Couldnt find the plaid pants either-but arent those red-orange jeans just HOT!!!!

Looky that blow-dried poofy do he sports!! Thank goodness its back to normal now!

Aaaaand he grew all the facial hair JUST FOR the dance! Isnt he nice! lol

I find THIS card I havent posted! I think I made it back in January.

I used the SU texture Plates thru my BigShot machine, then had the idea (Im sure like many others did) to sand off the top of the raised embossed design.

With the Designer series paper, it has a white core, so the sanding shows up so cool!

Riding hood Red base card, Candy Lane designer paper,Riding hood Red ink, Love You Much stamp set, Top Note sizzix die for inside of card. Inspired from a swap card from Ruthie Burkey.

I love these little 3x3 note cards! Tiny is always adorable! Baja Breeze and Sahara Sand Textured base cards. New Sweet Slumber designer paper...*sighs* Fab color combos! I used the Heart to Heart punch to punch out different sizes of the Sweet Slumber papers, 4 different sheets (= 8 patterns!) Adhered them on, and popped up a couple hearts with a Dimensional. Scallop punched the edge, layered a red dot strip to the inside.

These were totally inspired by a full size card on Kristina Werners blog

This must be my FAVE paper! Oh wait, I thought Rockabilly was my fave...or Parisian Breeze....

Had a stamp class yesterday (HI Lisa!), lots of fun, it always is!
