More Faux Fresh Cuts!

LOL I bought the Fresh Cut notecards that have a laser cut flower on the front, but I keep making my own instead!!

Rose Red Textured paper, cut 6 x 2 1/2", then folded to 3 1/2 size. Punched out 5 Petal Flower punch on front, then backed it with Cutie Pie flowered paper, and scalloped the edge. Used the Slit Punch to make a tab and punched a tiny GREEN flower for the top of tab, to hold the scalloped edge closed. Added a strip of striped Cutie Pie paper for edge.
Punched a 5 Petal Flower from Vellum cardstock, then re-punched the petal edges with the pointy tip of the punch (using just one of the points of the petal). Dang I should've taken a pic of how I did that! Just slide the tip of your punched out flower into one of the petals the flower punch, and punch off a point! Make it as deep as you want! I scored th eback of th evellum flower to give it some dimension. Layered another tiny flower on top to hide the pop-dot I used to adhere flower on top of opening.
My that sure got wordy didnt it?? LOL

I was inspired by Patty Bennets blog, to post my rose pics! Patty grows a BEAUTIFUL garden, and takes gorgeous pics of her roses and flowers!!!

Faux Fresh Cut notecards

So I DO have the NEW Laser cut note cards from SU!, and I used the new Fresh Cut stamp set sneak peek available now. I thought I would try to make some using the Scallop Note Cards-cute! I punched out center of card with 5 Petal punch, then punched a 1/2" circle in a piece of Teal textured paper, then punched the 5 petal punch over the hole, to make a flower with a hole in it. LOL

I stamped small flower from Fresh Cut set in Pumpkin, cut out & put the smallest Rhinestone brad thru center and layered onto Teal flower. Stamp Fresh Cut collage stamp in Teal onto Kraft card.

Layer the Pumpkin Des paper on inside of notecard to show thru flower. Layer the Teal flower over punchout, offsetting flower. Adhere with popdot.

Cut and scallop a narrow piece of pumpkin Des paper on inside edge of card.

I taught this card at a customers class this weekend. I used PATTYS' instructions-

4x12" cardstock scored at 4" and 8", then scored diagonally in the middle 'square', fold the diagonal fold and lay over right side of card to make a pocket...so easy when you do it! The pocket can hold a gift card...
