8th Annual Bead Soup Swap Party!!!!

So it is TIME for the BIG 8th Annual Bead Soup Blog Party! I received a luscious group of beads from the wonderful Tina Noonan, my bead swap partner. (photos 2 posts down. I only got 1 necklace made, and have a soup-pot of cool beads left over, and have a bracelet, and a pair or 2 of earrings I am working on, so maybe later I will share those when I am finished! Here is the link to Tinas blog.. and Loris blog where you can check out all 460 other participants and see their creations! On to my necklace pics! I sure hope I get this right! Thanks for looking!!! I really wanted to separate the beads with patinaed chains and jump rings..I LOVE the huge rings! I also used a bunch of my own beads to coordinate with Tinas selection for me. I am not a master wire wrapper, I need to really work on my skills with that! But Im a vintage-rustic kinda jewelry girl, so I think my wire wrapping conveys that..LOL Don't look too close!! hahaha Thankyou Tina at I really enjoyed working with your beads!!! Cant wait to see what you made with the Soup I sent to you!

Lets try those links again shall we?? lol Tina Noonan, my swap partner-- , and Lori the hosts blog--

Well I have received my Bead Soup mix from Tina Noonan from . What a great natural mix of beads! Carnelian, Jasper, a HUGE focal bead with dangles, and lots of other goodies! I never pick out natural color combos, so this will be a fun challenge, as that is how the bead Soup Blog Party works. You get to work outside your *comfort* zone!! I cant show a finished project until the reveal May 3rd., but I will say I have altered the focal bead just a bit, I hope Tina doesn't mind! I pulled the curvy row of beads over to the edge, and it now follows the curve of the bead. I wanted to show more of the fabulous natural design and striations of the stone. I also removed the danglies from the end, since I decided to make it a horizontal bead. I am incorporating a few beads from my stash also. Cant wait to see what Tina makes with the beads I sent her!

But I have been hoarding collecting vintage jewelry, especially rhinestoney jewelry like shoe clips, brooches, buckles, earrings etc.. I have HUG intentions of remaking these gorgeous old pieces into some new and wonderful to wear, but I get sidetracked. maybe this will be a catalyst to get moving and actually create!!! I need to *re*learn how to manage my blog..I used to be good at it.. lol I'll be back!!
